Escape to the Mountains

The freshest air you can imagine, daisies for the picking, the scent of the pines, mountain spring water to drink, the thrill and fright of a bear possibly through the trees, stars so bright with the blackest night sky, the rush of adventure riding through the forest; Montana, you got me this time.

“I’m in love with Montana. For other states I have admiration, respect, recognition, even some affection. But with Montana it is love. And it’s difficult to analyze love when you’re in it.”

John Steinbeck, Travels with Charley: In Search of America
